Dr. Gord has been an opinionated fellow his entire life. During his teenage years Dr.Gord was constantly investigating everything. This caused problems at home as his family held strong belief in ghosts and the supernatural, Dr. Gord, being a hardcore skeptic, wanted proof rather than just sitting around believing in something that is not there or based on faith. Researching many books on the subject he found a common theme and developed some interesting questions.
Why can't we all see these ghosts? Why is it only at a certain time? Why is it only when you are alone do they show up? Why they only show up at night?
In 2005, Dr.Gord joined forces with Nags Canada.com, a local paranormal group, where he spent close to a year investigating paranormal occurrences within the Niagara Region. During this time, he had quite a few strange incidents and it made him more open minded but still not a full believer. Also for this site he wrote a weekly column called Skeptic's Corner, which was his view on things dealing with the paranormal and investigating "supposed" ghostly activity in pictures, sent in by viewer submission. Gaining notoriety for his writing skills, Dr.Gord decided he needed to break out of just writing about the paranormal and in to other things!
Hence, Dr.Gord's World was created as a creative outlet for Dr.Gord. Dr.Gord has been told on numerous occasions that he has a great sense of humor so the Comedy section was created. Also with a lifelong fascination with the Welland Canal, located in the Niagara Region, Dr.Gord has spent numerous hours hiking the remains of both past and present Welland Canals, which you will find in the Welland Canal section. The Normal Adventures section is created for adventures that Dr.Gord goes on and just wants to share with the rest of the world.

Dr. Gord's most popular theory is this : -- "Have you ever noticed that the only time you really see ghosts or think you feel something is AFTER someone tells you a ghost story before you enter the dark??" Think about it and you will see!!!
